About Chloe
Hi! Thanks for stopping by. I'm Chloe. (or Ashley if you grew up with me and know me by my middle name.) I was born and raised in Arkansas and moved to Arvada, Colorado in 2011 with my husband and our 3 dogs. Goodbye humidity, hello mountains! My undergrad is in Public Relations and Marketing from Arkansas State University, and after 10+ years of working in unfulfilling jobs in Finance/Corporate America, I made a complete 180 career change and went back to school for Holistic Nutrition. I completed my certification for the Nutrition Therapy Practitioner program at the Nutrition Therapy Institute in April of 2016. I'm also a certified Insanity instructor and an ACE- certified Personal Trainer. I'm passionate about holistic nutrition and fitness and the positive health changes that come from combining the two.

My Story
My passion for holistic nutrition began when I started having some health issues of my own a few years back; cystic acne (like the big red, hard, hot bumps that take months to go away and leave scars, all over my cheeks, jaw line and neck), digestive issues, low thyroid, hormone imbalance, and burnt-out adrenals. I was stressed to the max, exhausted all the time- like-could-not-function-tired, bloated and had stomach issues daily, tired but wired feeling and couldn't fall asleep or stay asleep at night, and my moods were up and down but mostly down. I saw dermatologist, after doctor, after OB/GYN, and then a gastroenterologist and they all just wanted to give me another pill to take but wouldn't ever get to the root of what was going on. I finally went to a Naturopathic doctor and it was then that I really started to understand the important role nutrition played in healing but also for preventative healthcare and how all my issues were related and built upon each other. My acne was a result of my wrecked gut, my gut was wrecked from stress and eating foods that I was sensitive to (like gluten), my hormones were messed up from my wrecked gut, burnt out adrenals and stress, and so on and so forth. It's like the chicken and egg, you don't know which came first but they are all definitely related. As soon as I started working on healing my gut and removing foods that were causing inflammation, my acne healed almost immediately. I started working on managing my stress and was diligent about eating foods that were good for thyroid health and hormone balancing, supplementing where needed, and slowly but surely I got my energy back, my skin was clear, and my stomach wasn't bloated or upset. Healing takes time but removing foods that are negatively affecting your health and increasing the foods that help, make a huge, huge difference.
My approach to holistic nutrition therapy
My goal is to revive the traditional concept that real food can help heal and also act as preventative healthcare. The food and lifestyle choices you make affect your health, mood, skin, sleep, hormones, digestion, weight, and overall well-being. I want to renew interest in eating real wholesome foods, to guide you in making decisions that promote health and happiness while balancing the expectations and needs of your lifestyle. I can help provide clarity with reliable resources and educated advice.
Holistic nutrition therapy is not about dieting, restricting, labeling food as "good" or "bad" or counting calories or points. It's a lifestyle change of eating real, whole food that is meant to nourish your body, not punish it.
