Your mouth is highly absorbent, so chemicals in your toothpaste get a fast-track into your bloodstream. You probably don't think much about the tiny amount of toothpaste you're using 2-3 times a day, but over the course of your lifetime, adults use over 20 gallons of toothpaste. That's a lot of chemical exposure!
You can easily make your own natural toothpaste (search on Pinterest) or check out natural brands like the one pictured, My Magic Mud, Spry (I especially like this brand for kiddos), Earthpaste, and Dr. Bronner's. Here a few ingredients to avoid:
